Nature Conservation and Landscape of the Czech Republic

 

The Protivin Crocodile Zoo has also been engaged in the field of nature protection in the Czech Republic. Its concept is based on the assumption that the Zoo, as an accredited protection institution, should participate in preservation and protection of animal and plant species not only in exotic countries, but also in the native country. In 2008 the Zoo operator will participate in the protection of a European protected herb species called Bohemian Gentian (Gentianella bohemica) found in the Holy Cross locality at Chvalsiny through providing harvest management through his agricultural ecological farm.
